St. Patrick's Day isn’t one of those holidays that a lot of people decorate for like Christmas, Halloween and Easter, but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t put together a couple of small things to get in the spirit. Today we’ll show you how to dress up your LED candles with glittery green and then relax with a classic pint of green beer.
How to Make a Shamrock Candle Holder
This is a pretty simple craft that should take only a couple of minutes. Start with our Metallic Gold Flameless Pillar Candles. At your local craft store, buy some green ribbon; we like the sparkly kind with firm wire with a for this craft. While you are there, pick out a few vibrant green shamrocks that will look good with your ribbon and then a couple of green-top push pins. To assemble, wrap your flameless candle with the green ribbon like you are wrapping a gift and tie it once. Use one of your green pins to hold the knot in place. Take another green pin and tack your shamrock over the knot. Cut the ribbon ends to size and flare them out for style. You’re all set! Now on to the beer!
How to Make Green Beer

To start, grab your lucky pint glass – we like these “I Love Beer” mugs – and pour a tasty brew. The lighter shades of a lager really work best, so stay away from those amber ales. Feel free to taste test throughout. Next, add food coloring. Despite the myth that you can use blue food coloring to make green beer, you really do need green food dye. For a nice, soft shade of green, 2 drops per 12 oz. of beer will work. For a richer shade of Kelly green, you’ll need 3 drops. Now you’re all set to raise your green beer glass to toast your flameless candle craftiness. Have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
